Zoe has been creating art for as long as she can remember and has been a professional illustrator for about four years. Her journey took a new turn during the pandemic, when, after losing her job, she decided to reconnect with her passion for art. She opened her Etsy shop, Zoe Art Garden, where she began selling custom gouache paintings, prints, pins, and other art pieces.
Nature is Zoe’s greatest muse. She loves painting landscapes, animals – especially rabbits and cats – and creating peaceful, whimsical scenes. Heavily influenced by Studio Ghibli films, she connects deeply with their portrayal of nature and magic, striving to capture a similar feeling in her artwork.
Balancing her shop, illustration projects, and being a full-time Computer Science student, Zoe relies on her diary to stay organised. It helps her manage multiple tasks, from scheduling art commissions and planning YouTube content to tracking important milestones for her shop.
For her ideal diary layout, Zoe prefers a weekly spread with plenty of space for to-dos, deadlines, and sketch ideas, emphasising flexibility and creativity. She also includes various trackers – classic ones like habit and mood charts, as well as art-specific ones for tracking time spent on each project. To make her diary even more personal, she would add extra pages at the back for notes, doodles, and ideas for future art pieces. “The ability to personalise these aspects to my needs and preferences would make the diary feel truly mine and keep me inspired”, Zoe shares.
